Writer and CUNY Professor of Political Science Arianna Farinelli will be in conversation with journalist Gianni Riotta to discuss her first novel Gotico Americano, a story of family, identity, and a critique of the western elite. This book is part of the Munizioni Series edited by Roberto Saviano dedicated to the power of words to build bridges towards a future of equality and freedom.

Arianna Farinelli was born in Rome in 1975 and has lived in the United States since 2001. She received her PhD in Political Science in 2009. Since 2010 she has been teaching at Baruch College of the City University of New York. Gotico Americano is her first novel.
Gianni Riotta is an Italian journalist, a regular contributor for the daily newspaper La Stampa and a former Editor in chief of the financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore and the news bulletin TG1. He has contributed to The Washington Post, Le Monde, Foreign Policy, and the New York Times. Riotta sits on the Advisory Council of the Department of French and Italian at Princeton University.
