Come ben sapete, Gabriella si dedica alla scrittura da molto tempo e ha avuto molto successo precedentemente con i suoi primi due libri, ‘Sass, Smarts, and Stilettos - How Italian Women Make the Ordinary Extraordinary’ e "The Artisan's Star". Gabriella Contestabile is an author, educator, and founder of Su Misura Journeys, a boutique travel company. She emigrated from Italy to New York in 1959. In her pre-writer life she worked as a foreign language teacher, a management education specialist, and as a fragrance and cosmetics executive. She is the author of ‘The Artisan’s Star’ and ‘Sass, Smarts, and Stilettos- How Italian Women Make the Ordinary Extraordinary'. Gabriella is passionate about the arts, multiculturalism, and social justice, all inspired by reading Dante, Dickens, and Louisa May Alcott at a very young age.

A pandemic survivor walks the trails of the Cinque Terre and looks back on a friend’s battle with AIDS years ago. A daughter returns to her mother’s beloved Florence as a final goodbye, only to rediscover herself inside the curtailed reincarnations of Florence’s past. And three sisters escort their mother back to their family vineyard in Abruzzo for one last confrontation with the past and the pursuit of something, if anything, that can be salvaged from a time when women were told to follow men.
Each woman in these stories faces her own time of day, a reckoning. The old choices no longer hold. So, what now? Where to flee for answers? We find them embedded in three places: in the arts, in the landscapes of our earth, and in connections. These, and sometimes these alone, keep us questing for love, for purpose, for who we are and where we are meant to
